Amidst the whirlwind of wedding planning why hire a florist?

So many brides chose to diy their flowers. And diy’ing can be a great option! There are so many resources out there for those creative, diy savvy brides that can be of help in this area of wedding prep/planning. So what’s the big deal with hiring a florist…or not?

First off, if you’ve come to this blog post, chances are, you are already thinking of hiring a florist.

So at this point, the real question shouldn’t be “Why should I hire a florist?” but WHAT makes hiring a florist worth it?

Hiring wedding vendors can be daunting and expensive, and you deserve, as a client, to know on the front end what makes hiring a florist worth your time, money, etc. And I’ll give you a hint- it’s DEFINITELY worth it!

   Hiring a florist can be a HUGE time-saver! Thinking about how much time it takes to determine what items are needed to create a event. How many guest table center pieces? What would look good for this ceremony, at this venue? The ceilings are TALL, what arrangement would look good here? Etc. Creating an idea of what it would take to bring your wedding day to fruition takes time! And sometimes, we don’t have time! It’s why we chose to hire professionals who have the skill and experience, and are way more efficient. If you’ve seen any diy video/tiktok/IG reel, diy’ers will tell you it took so much more time vs hiring a professional. 2. Designer

   Hiring a florist means you are hiring a designer! We have so many resources and access to different, unique flowers. We know what flowers will look better in an arrangement than others. We take our creativity and apply it to how we design an arrangement’s colors, textures, movements, shapes, etc. Hiring a florist means you are hiring a creative designer who knows how to execute! Flowers are important for a wedding. Although flowers don’t last forever (although there are plenty of beautiful floral preservation options out there), your flowers will be in your photos forever! So if making sure things look beautiful is important to you, hire a florist!

   
   

3. Coordinator

   Hiring a florist means so much more than just hiring someone to put flowers together, we do so many other behind the scenes like planning, organizing, coordinating. We make sure the ceremony is set up on time. We talk to your planner, photographer, mom, etc, to make sure every detail is thought of and well communicated. Storming day on an outdoor wedding? No worries, well figure it out! Our job as your florist is to coordinate from initial inquiry to take down the night of your wedding. If having someone that knows the ins and outs of your wedding day and the days leading up to that is important to you, hire a florist!

   
   

4. Friend

   Hiring a florist is trusting someone to help you celebrate one of the biggest days of your life! Your florist should advocate for you, in budget, in vision, in encouraging you to not worry about the flowers or if everything will come together on wedding day. We are here for YOU! We are on your team, and it’s an honor! If having the support you need and trust that your best interest is at heart is important to you, hire a florist!
